Pinewood Derby in PV

For the first time our Humming Birds Adventurer Club took part in a Pinewood Derby. On Sunday morning, April 19th, around 14 Humming Birds built creative Pinewood cars to race on the specially built track. The cars were built to conform to specific size and weight restrictions.  Even Kari Johns put her creative talents to work and built a car to race. Each race was accompanied by lots of excited cheering and clapping.  Perhaps the derby will become an annual affair with a special adult classification included.

Lego Robotics Challenge Program

Our first season to introduce to our children the LEGO Robotics Challenge Program, where children play, build and program Lego Robots. The first challenge was a huge success with over 35 children.
